Hi, I have an ASTEC alarm installed since July 03. It has been fine until yesterday. Now it won't stop going off - even when I don't set it !!. I even tried to turn it off at the fuse box but it still went off!!! The alarm guy who installed it's phone number is disconnected and I can't find the company that he wrote down on the user manual - AST (but it's not the UK AST, I called them).
I have checked the zone that it indicates and can see no problems with the connections (but I'm no expert) and we did not press the panic button as indicated on the panel. However, one of the messages said battery low. Could this be the cause of the (apparantly) false messages ? I wonder changing the battery is something a layman can do ? Where could I get a battery and instructions or is this a call out situation? For any alarm guys anyone know an alarm fixer in Clonsilla area ? Thanks
