Does anybody know what formula the DSP use in calculating the value of property in the means test for social welfare payments?

The link here http://www.welfare.ie/EN/OperationalGuidelines/Pages/meansassess.aspx#sect1 unfortunately is not working at the moment.

There is about e25k of excess, mkt value over mortgage outstanding.

is it the person's home? - I dont think this is included in means

Not home, living at different address. This is definitely regarded as capital for the means test.

google "Operational Guidelines means assessment"

open a cached copy ---this will work even if the site is down

The amount assessed for capital is not the same for every payment.
