You have got to be kidding. Why should guards/nurses/teachers be considered to be more deserving of homes than other people?? Fortunately for the rest of us minions there is not fast-track to affordable housing for "keyworkers" .... you will just have to take your place in the queue like everyone else. In fairness to Krabik, the head of Dublin City's housing department is on record moaning that key workers have not been applying for affordable housing, so it's reasonable to suspect that some form of preference scheme might be in the pipeline.
