Baby put something on the fire when it was turned off, when it was lit, there was something plastic in it that melted all over the old coals. I am going to throw them away, as I am worried about the fumes, even if I clean them.

Where would one buy these artificial coals from.
I have tried Woodies, B&Q (they think they will get them in stock in July (?????)), Atlantic Homecare, eBay.

No luck.

I have found one place - a local gas fire supplier, but it is €25 for a small bag containing 13 blocks - The bag is the size of an A4 sheet of paper. I will need three bags to fill the fire place sufficiently. Surely this is not how much they cost is it??

I got some in the fireplace shop on the fonthill road. Think its called hearth and home. I think it was about 20 euro for 12 or 14 pieces, but they were quite big pieces so 2 bags should be plenty.
