Does anybody know the engineer's code for this type of alarm? I need to change the alarm code and reset the date and time.

Thanks

You should be able to change the alarm code & time date under normal code entry.

Even though 01278 is the engineers code, it may not work as some alarm installation companies change the default code to prevent 'opportunists' from bypassing.

If the default does not work give your installation company a call.

Thanks for the codes. It did not work, stated "access denied". I just typed it in, does this bring up the menus automatically? or do I need to do something else?

Quote "You should be able to change the alarm code & time date under normal code entry." How do I do this?

Thanks

The installer should change that code on commissioning the system. Not doing so means a burglar will be able to turn the alarm off! This may have implications for your insurance.

You can't change codes without going into engineer mode. Given that you got the "access denied" message, your installer had changed the code. You'll need to contact them to get this.

I had a similar problem - I now have a pdf of the user manual - PM me with your email ad and I will send it to you

If you own the system, you can reprogramme it yourself.
All alarm engineers change the original engineers code for security reasons but most alarms can be defaulted to thier factory settings and reprogrammed.
User manuals are free to download from [broken link removed]

Hi There.I have a CP42 ARETECh and we had to disable it a year ago as animals outside the house at night would trigger it.Can it be adjusted to avoid this?.Thanks.

You can get pet friendly PIR detectors, or you can reprogram the night arming setting to exclude PIRs. Your installer or another PSA registered installer should be able to set that up for you.
