Hi, my name is Jessie and I am a filmmaker based in Waterford, I am also a carer to a family member. I am currently in Pre-production on a documentary about Carers who have been denied a payment or who have been waiting for an appeal for a long period of time. Ideally I would like to meet Carers in their home and spend a day with them as they provide care, I would also like to interview each participant on camera. If you are not comfortable appearing on camera your story can still be included if you email me the details. Please pm me for my private email. There is no fee for appearing as this project is self funded. I know a lot of people are frustrated and suffering a great deal of stress while they wait for the Government to decide if they have a genuine case and the aim of this documentary is to highlight the work that Carers do for little if no reward.
