Hi all my wife and i both worked for the past few years in our own business. We paid stamps during this period. Come 2009, we were forced to opt for a voluntary liquidation. we paid off all creditors and distrubuted the remaining funds to all sharehioders (ourselves included). We now have some proceeds from the liquidation, essentially our savings, which we use for day to day expenses. these funds are depleting fast as we have zero income apart from child benefit. My question is, having paid all our taxes, promptly and in full over the years, are we entitlrd to any support from the system that we have supported, now that income has been all but obliterated?
