Are Waterford worth a punt at 7/2 for Saturday's Hurling Replay?

Paddy Power has Kilkenny @ 2/7 and Waterford @ 7/2.

The match is fixed for Saturday in Thurles. Waterford have a young lionlike team who certainly can keep going for 60 of the 70 minutes. Kilkenny are dogged, experienced and gifted with experienced hurling stars.

I reckon Waterford are on the way up and Kilkenny are on the way down. The questions are how far up are Waterford and how far down are Kilkenny.

I think I'll risk a humble tenner on Waterford.

Thought we had it won on Sunday , it would have been great to stop the almost yearly ritual of Kilkenny folk crossing the bridge in Septemper in the county colours to socialise in our pubs :)

Still as we always remind them their slavish devotion to one sport leaves them way behind the Deise on the World sporting stage - we have produced a double World Champion & Olympic medallist , a plethora of international footballers including two who have played in European finals & of course a World class cyclist .

Oh & yes I will be having a bet !

I'm reminded of Gift Grub on Monday when they were interviewing "Brian Cody" and he was saying how savage Waterford were and how they gave them a savage game and were outstanding. Then he's asked how the replay will go and his response, Kilkenny by 30 points

KK are beatable , Cork showed that in 2013 in Thurles and it was interesting that they only made 2 subs on Sunday making me wonder about their strength on the bench and their faith in their bench. I think Waterford will need goals though

If Waterford lose on Saturday I'll be down a tenner. If I were a bond-holder and lost I'd at least get my tenner back. Bad value there from Paddy Power. Anyway, here's hoping Brian Cody is in charitable mood . . .
