I noticed that M&S have an offer available in the UK for "Dine for 2 for £10".

Normlly this would translate to "Dine for 2 for €15"....in the bad ole day s(ie - last month)

I was amazed to see they have this on offer in Blanch for just €12.50....as far more realistic exchange rate. Consumer pressure must be starting to kick in!!

They had this offer a few weeks ago too at the same GB£ and € prices as above.

Why on earth do some people insist on assuming that UK and Irish retail prices should be identical when normalised to one or other currency?!?

Who said they should be identical? But it's understandable if people balk at retailers brazenly displaying dual-price stickers that make plain the hefty premium for the luxury of buying the item in Ireland. It's the arrogance that gets me...

In fairness to M & S I would not put them on the top of my list of offenders regarding price difference's between U.K. & ROI.

No. They're just dumb enough to display the UK price, like Claire's, H&M, and others. Tesco are too smart to do this.

Original post was to let people know about a special offer. Since that's been done I'm closing the thread. Discuss the other issue elsewhere.
