Hello,
Do people believe that there are still real benefits to individual Credit Unions being members of the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU) ?
The cost of membership of the ILCU for a Credit Union (including the indirect costs for such things as insurance on members savings and loans) cannot be forgotten. Are they good value for money, particularly when we consider that CUs are covered by such things as the Deposit Guarantee Scheme ?
Aside from the above, are their training programmes worthwhile ? Are they showing real progress with regards to such things as lobbying for relevant legislation, representing the interests of the national credit union membership, aiding product/service development ?
