Is it always necessary to bring along the long-form Birth Cert when claiming Jobseekers Benefit ?

Do I need to bring my wifes birth Cert too, or is it sufficient to quote PPS numbers ?

You no longer need the long version of the birth cert when http://www.welfare.ie/EN/Pages/jajbapplications.aspx (claiming)Jobseeker's payments. They may ask for it (or your mpassport) if your date of birth has not been verified previously on their computer system but if you produced it previously, you don't need to do so again.
