Thinking bout a few days in Inismor on the Aran Islands with hubby and two kids. Anybody any suggestions as to where we might stay?
 
Was there about 8 years ago. I'm pretty sure that guest houses/B&Bs are the only accommodation available - from speaking to other people they all seem to be well run and friendly. Maybe check with Bord Failte?

It's a lovely place especially if the weather is good.

To be near a few shops/restaurants I would say it's essential to book somewhere in or close to Kilronan.

Not a lot for kids to do on the island if they are bored easily.
 
I was on Inis Mór last summer for 4 days and stayed here http://www.pierhousearan.com/

We stayed in the self catering apartments and they were fantastic. In the morning you just walk to the B&B for your breakfast that's included in the price. When I say walk it's literally one minute from the apartments.

This is well worth looking into.

Enjoy Inis Mór. It really is a beautiful place.
 
Inis Mor is great, was there in November and stayed in the only hotel on the island. was fairly expensive considering time of year but very new and shiny!
