Approx cost to buy and install a new oil boiler?

Can anybody give me an approx. cost to buy and install a new oil boiler?

It would be a Grant outdoor condensing boiler, which would replace an existing oil-fired boiler in a small boilerhouse attached to the external wall of the house.

The cost is to include wiring and firing the boiler.

I have been told at least 1600, heading towards 2000.

Does that sound reasonable?

sounds about right to me. i padi 2000punts to get a new gas burner in, in place of my oil burner and that included some extra piping etc.

An update.

For a Grant condensing boilerhouse model, the estimate is coming in approx. 2300

To double-check things, I priced a Grant Euroflame boilerhouse model myself, in Heat Merchants. It is 1330-1380, incl VAT.

On top of this, there is the labour involved:

- removal of the existing boiler
- installation of the new bolier (wiring, firing)
- approved service agent to set the burner for diesel
- approved service to change setting for kerosene with diesel runs out

Also, to replace an existing old radiatior with a new one.

Does 2300 seem ok?
