I've been approved since july and have heard nothing from either dublin city co or fingal.

I viewed one apt but wasn't interested in it, I only got to view this after hounding dublin city co for days.

They say theirs a newsletter they send out yet i've received nothing, I've sent emails and kept ringing them but to no avail.

I have 2 loan approvals in place along with savings all i need is to find a place and i'm ready to go on it.

So frustrating does anyone have any info?

From DCC Site

Dublin City Council offers affordable housing only to those on its
Affordable Housing Panel.
Application forms for the Panel are available from:
• Affordable Housing Unit - Telephone: 222 5020 or
email affordablehousing.unit@dublincity.ie
• Website: www.dublincity.ie
The short form application is simple and easy to complete. A €50
application fee is required.
You are not required to verify any information to get onto the Panel.
However, full verification of the provided information and income details
will be required in the event of you being offered a property.
Affordable properties will generally be offered as follows:
CATEGORY DESCRIPTION OFFERS
1 Existing tenants of Dublin City Council or
a Voluntary Housing Association 10%
2 Those living within the Area Committee
Boundary where the development occurs 30%
3 All other eligible applicants 60%
Selection by way of lottery will be completed when demand exceeds
supply. Once offered a property, you need to pay a booking deposit of
€3,000 to confirm your interest in purchasing it.

Thanks for the advice - I have rang dub cit co and they are updating their properties list.
With Fingal they say i should have signed a form by now stating where i'd prefer to live but they haven't sent me any such form - apparantly they are posting it to me now. South dublin apartments are out of my reach financially.

There definitely seems to be just the dregs left I showed a friend of mine the list and it was the same list she got a year and a half ago. Fingers crossed I find something on it. I think you need to keep hounding the coucil for updates.

I'd jump at a 2 bed house every list i've seen seems to be apartments at this stage i'm not fussy just really eager to find something.
I'll keep chasing on that form....thanks :)
