Approval from Fingal Co Council re: affordable housing

I have recently been approved in principle for affordable housing with Fingal co. council. It has taken me over a year to get on the list as Fingal seem to be quite strict with their requirments. I wondered from anyone who has already been offered a property with Fingal, how long they were waiting before this happened?

hi we were approved in feb of this year and offered a house in may. It depends on if you are on the local list for fingal. We have live here all our lives so we were placed on both local and general lists. Best to ring and find out.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I'm new to this site and have since noticed similar treads posted since.. Yea they say it will take a few months at least before i get an offer. Have you noticed that the market prices and the affordable home prices are becoming marginal!!, I wonder if the current down turn is reflected in the prices of affordable homes.. I hope you were successful and got the place you were looking for.
