I work in the civil service type position and have been working for the last year on two fixed term 6 month contracts. When my first contract was up - it just got renewed. My second contract is due to expire and I was told that the job was never advertised and that it must be advertised now internally and I have to apply - go through interview process etc to keep job - even though I went through 2 interviews to get first contract supplied 3 references etc etc. and have been doing job for last year. Is this usual? Anyone else experience this?
