Hello there,
Mr X has been convicted of assault in a district court following court case with DPP. I am the one that was assaulted. This man via is solicitor appealed.
3 month has passed and heard nothing from the Garda.
Also checked the courts.ie website and the appeal does not appear .
Also from what i understand the circuit court where the appeal was lodge deal with all appeals in batches, there is a full list going ahead this month but not this one.

Is that normal ? How exactly does it work ?

I am just curious as this man's solicitor is a nasty piece of work and i expect him / her to try her best to avoid it if possible.

Thank you

The appeal had to be lodged within a certain length of time from the conviction so I'd suggest you ring the circuit court office and ask. They should be able to tell you if it is on the list and if not, why not. Normally in most country regions at least, all district court appeals would be heard on the next circuit court date.

Thnak you
Rang the circuit court but nothing is on the list.
Also rang Garda , they heard nothing either.

As the appeal is lodged in the District Court in the first instance you could see if they have received anything.
