Appartment rental in south of France

Hi

My Girlfriend and I are looking to book an appartment in the south of France, Cote D'Azur preferably near a beach for a few weeks in August. Can anyone recomend a decent website or give some guidance re pricing etc etc or am I crazy trying to book this late?

Any site I have used only seem to have availability for groups of 4 upwards and it works out quiet expensive. This will be my first time holidaying in the south of france so any recomendations or tips would be appreciated.

Try www.vrbo.com. There should be plenty of 1 bedroom apartments there which are suitable for 2 people.

Try either www.abritel.fr or www.homelidays.com as these have great listings and plenty of availability. If you move away from the Riviera and head towards Fréjus, St.Raphael or even further afield to le Lavandou or La Ciotat it might be a bit quieter!
