Apartment/villa recommendation in Nice

Can anybody recommend from experience accommodation in Nice for rent for 2wks in summer (2bedroom (2adults+2kids)/pool/air con would be the requirements). Preferably apartment/villa within in CENTRAL nice. Have had a look at www.holidayrentals.co.uk but would just like to see if there are any personal recommendations.

What area in nice should I look for accommodation in. Want somewhere within walking distance from centre as I am told all bus services stop at 8.30 in the evening and taxis are quite expensive. Am googling "accommodation in Nice" but just dont know what areas are close to centre.
