Apartment Purchase: Lease

When buying a used apartment at what point can you expect to get access to a copy of the Lease document?

As the Lease appears to be critical to apartment living it seems critical to study in detail before committing to buy?

If anyone has any insight it would be appreciated.

You can ask for it before Contract stage.

But really it will be very standard - this is a helpful guide to apartment ownership post 2011

AND the articles of association for your company which you can get for a few quid off the CRO but are usually obtained as part of the pre contract MUD act requisition process.

while most of these leases are very similar some are much better written then others. Things like service fee apportionment can vary immensely and can go against you subject to how the current crop of directors run the estate.
