Apartment/Hotel in Majorca

Heading off for a week to Majorca on 18th October and just booked flights, looking for any suggestions for nice accommodation, we are a couple in 50's.

What part of Majorca?

I stayed in Club Pollentia a couple of years back. It was a nice hotel halfway between Pollensa and Alcudia. I reckon you would get a good deal for October.

Thinking about that part of the world next spring. Would you choose Alcudia or Pollenca to stay if you had to stay in either?

I think Pollenca was less built up so I would prefer it. The hotel I mentioned above is between the two (only a couple of miles to either) and can easily be reached by bus outside the hotel itself.
I was in Mallorca last April (different part) and the weather was lovely.
