Anyone stayed in Waterford Castle

Thinking of doing a weekend break with Miss Gunner and looking at Waterford Castle

Anyone ever stayed here and give their views on it worth it?

Stayed there last year and had a great time. BUT!!! about 20 of us played golf and what a wonderful golf course it is. The room I shared was big and in good condition, some of the others said their rooms could have done with a lick of paint. This place is over 800 years old. Not too sure I'd bring my missus - not much to do if you don't play golf and she, well can't understand folk 'paying to hit a ball around fields for 4/5 hours' - No spa or pool.

Ok not a Golf man so your saying if your not then not worth it? Yeah lack of Spa Facilities may not be good but think we where looking at just chilling. Maybe do some other activities
