Hi all,

After Mayo's big win yesterday, I missed the Sunday Game and I was interested to see what Pat Spillane had to say...

Anyone know if it's repeated later in the week?

Thanks,
Ginger

I dont think it is - it was all highly complimentary to Mayo ... for once ... the only quibble was timewasting by Mayo and the possibility of further time added on in injury time.

Great to see a transformation from innocents to winners, hope they now complete the job because, laudable and all as the achievements have been to date, it wont be much comfort if they dont win the title.

Thanks Betsy.

Yeah we will have to see how they get on. I hope at the very least they put on a better show than in 2004.

it its anything like the 'quiet man' it will be repeated every sunday in every hotel in mayo from now till.........

local Mayo paper thinks the omens are good for Mayo---- last time Mayo won all Ireland in 1951 Roscommon won the minors, well Roscommon has just won the minors, also no team has ever won an All Ireland with the captain wearing number 13 -- and the "Gooch" is wearing number 13, sure Mayo are home and dry

Bllllleeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh

Certainly don't want to see tonight's Sunday Game after today's performance.....

Roscommon Vs Kerry minors drew, that's where it all started to go wrong!

Let's repeat the Dublin Vs Mayo match again instead :)

The one question I have with yestardays game is why didnt Mayo go into the match with the same attitude and passion that they had against the Dubs?

I'm sure they did bazer, but 2 goals down after 8 mins kind of deflates a team. That said the Kerry defence were so on top of the Mayo forwards, Mayo had no outlets to relieve the pressure. It was the worst final i've ever attended. I honestly thought Mayo had a chance.

OK point taken and fair play to Mayo they did get 3 goals against them, but only one point from open play they never would deserve an all Ireland on that record

Do you think if Dublin had beaten Mayo the dubs could of done better against Kerry? That said I think kerry still would of won only maybe by a few points!!!!

Bazer, I think virtually any other team in the country would have done better - I think that's probably Kerry's biggest win in several years. Both Tipp and Waterford were only beaten by about 8 pts by Kerry this year. I think Kerry are very beatable and will prove to be next year. I think the Dubs could have taken them as I thought Mayo had a great chance too!
