Anyone going through Shared Ownership

Anyone else doing this at the moment, having trouble getting the docs together etc? Nervous about being approved like I am?
 
hi trevor there are some great posts on this updated today. one in this forum and one on the gemeral mortgages board by sinbad.

i was looking for info too and people have been very helpful
 
Sorry Guys , I heard they prob won't be doing share ownership anymore in dcc . thats what I was told on the phone
 
Guys it was phased out like 4 weeks ago but im chancing it and putting in my app as they are desperate to shift some of the AH homes.
 
i work alongside DCC officials. I had been reccommended by one of these 2 weeks ago to go for this option when the new forms are available.

since then i have been onto dcc 4 times to see if the forms are ready..each time the girl tells me no, though last friday she did say that they were supposed to have them that morning but there was a slight delay and insetad she took my details to pass them on.

at no stage have i been told anything about phasing it out. in fact she told me to compile my documents so that i can return the app form as soon as it arrives.
 
Seems like a common thing, every time you'd call dcc you get a different person, each with a different answer everything guarunteed.
 
ok defo not being phased out.

they are expanding the income allowances..hence the new forms!

was all through it today with a senior management official. he said people weren't taking it up so theyre expanding it!
 
Shared Ownership Being Phased Out/not?

Hi is there any update on this?

I rang a guy in DCC council today and he told me that shared ownership is gone and has been replaced by an annuity loan scheme

I know a previous poster said that the scheme was being expanded not phased out, but based on my conversation with the guy in the council, the max you can get under the annuity loan scheme is 220k which is less than what was available under shared ownership so I'm confused?!

Anyone have any recent info on this?
