Anyone experience a cancelled flight to London, how long to get a second flight?

Hi,

Has anyone any info or personal experience of having a flight to Heathrow cancelled due to the volcano?

How long did it take for you to get a new booking?
Did the airline put on extra flights to clear the backlog?

Any info at all please
 
AFAIK from relations and friends having flights cancelled due to the ash - none with flights to london though - you can go on to the website of the airline that you originally booked with and change your booking there free of charge. The people that I am aware of with this experience were all flying aer lingus.
 
Co-worker had a flight cancelled last Wednesday with City Jet to London, they re-booked him for Friday.

No problems at all!

Is anyone aware if any of the airlines added additional flights to clear any backlogs to London?
