With the recent cold weather and a bit of poor health I have come to notice the cold a bit more and tonight as I type I noticed how cold the floor is in the room I use as an office. I get a temperature reading of 65%c when I place thermostat on carpetwith heating on and up high I get a reading of 70 +. Floor is carpeted with a rubber underlay. Is there any material I can place below the underlay that will give me a bit more insulation? All decoration has been done so cant have new floors etc.

A bit desperate.

I was thinking of using a plastic sheet with an accoustic layer on top then underlay and carpet. I know it may be softer undefoot but might be of some help unless there is a better and simpler solution.

I have done a search first but nothing seems to address this paricular problem.
