If you are travelling solo, then a city break is probably the best. You don't say what you would prefer but have done a few days at Christmas in parts of the Algarve that would be choc a bloc during the summer but are tranquil over the festive season and weather quite mild as well. Albuferia is relaxing. Then again, Barcelona might not be a bad option either.
December 06 i went to the isle of man for Christmas break, staid in a hotel looking out on the beach and rented a car to tour the island. Christmas day we got served breakfast and later that night dinner, it was a very nice relaxing christmas.
