Any idea what price a house was in 1999 in Dublin 7 Glenbeigh road

Any idea how much a 3 bed terrace house on Glenbeigh road in Dublin 7 was in 1999.It was left to myself and my sister and it is valued at around €420,000 now.I need to know because we have to pay tax to the revenue on it and my solicitor said we can use the old deed at that price.

Check the classified houses for sale ads in newspaper archives from the time to get an idea and a few indicative prices. Maybe at a national newspaper's offices, the National Library(?) or the National Archives perhaps. Estate Agents might also be able to help with such queries about historical prices.
 
I presume that you can index the nominal acquisition/base price for inflation up to c. 2003? Make sure to get professional advice on the CGT return if in any doubt about how to prepare it.
 
It would have been around £90,000 Irish pounds assuming no extensions and depending on condition etc.
 
Don't rely exclusively on your solicitor for tax advice (especially CGT advice) unless they are specifically expert in that area.
