Any good free internet safety filter software?

Can anyone advise on an internet safety filter software. Preferably free! Something like Net Nanny? Something so that my kids can surf the net and I won't be worrying. At the moment I don't let them look up stuff on their own. I turned on the safety thing in YouTube that's as far as I've got.
 
I have used K9 from bluecoat for many years and I have found it to be excellent. It is completely free and is constantly updated as new sites can appear every day.
