Any drawbacks to joint account?

My husband and I have had separate current accounts with BOI for years however due to the fees BOI are now charging we plan to move to PTSB. We thought it might be handier to ditch the separate accounts and open a joint account. Just interested to hear if anyone has any thoughts on whether there are any drawbacks to this? Some might say it's a bad idea to keep all your eggs in one basket in case the bank in question has any issues such as those experienced by Ulster Bank in recent years. We are not prepared to continue to pay fees to BOI though. My husband does have a savings account with them which he could keep open in case it might come in handy.
