Any advice on buying in Castletroy, Limerick?

Hi there,

My first post (I have been reading all the advice for months now) so thanks in advance for any help.

Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of this development (it's a McInerney build)? Looking to buy in Castletroy - away from the student hubs - and came across this one. I see they have come down in price since last year (from 295 to 250). Any chance they might come down again? I read in a few other posts that McInerneys are notoriously sticky on price ( think in one of their estates in Ballincollig) so just wondering is it worth the hassle when there is such good value out there in 2nd hand properties?

OH is from Limerick - has good knowledge of development buildings.
If you tell me what estate it is..i can ask him?
 
There's a McInerney development near me just up the road from Castletroy College. Seems nice. I like the area as it has the park, schools, shops, cycle lanes. No idea on the prices though.
 
Is there much in Castletroy that is away from the student hubs?. I suggest you walk/drive the estate/area on a Thursday night which from my time in UL, was the main student night out
