can the descendant of an ansbacher account holder be held liable for that account if he/she had no prior knowledge or, or direct access to, the account and if both parents have been dead in excess of 8 years? (The descendent has never been contacted by the Revenue or any tribunal with regards to this matter)

The revenue have pursued the estates of deceased Ansbacher accounts, but it is not clear whether legally they are entitled to do so,nobody has challenged them on this in the courts yet

That's very interesting. Would there be grounds to do so? I have heard of some descendant being held liable and others never being contacted. I'd be interested to hear more from you.

If the account related to a deceased person, the Revenue would seek redress from the estate.

If all that is done and gone .. not sure where they could go.
