another TRS question

hi people
Am signing for my house today getting keys etc.....
my question is when do we apply for the tax releif our first month mortgage will be taking out start of august do we wait for that to be taking out or do we apply straight away???
Appreciate any advice

I would apply immediately, it may take a couple of months to kick in.
