If you have an annual policy and receive a cancer diagnosis after taking it out (out of blue no symptoms) are you still covered for travel in that year. Do you have to advise them? Will they look for extra premium?

Sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. Hope your condition can be managed and addressed. Do you envisage you will need to make a claim on the travel policy ?

Thanks prognosis is good but worry anyway. It's my hubby. We have flights booked for July which we will prob have to cancel. We want to go to Australia later in year to visit new grandchild so will need to make sure we are covered.

Given that you have long distance travel plans, suggest you consult with your husband's medical team. If he is on medication or a programme, such travel may not be recommended at this time

I believe Australia has a reciprocal health agreement with Ireland which would work like the E111 I would imagine.
