Annoying shortkeys on Windows 7 Starter

Hi,

My laptop has very annoying shortcut keys on it. I'm a very fast typist but whatever keys I hit when typing a few sentences, it sets my keyboard into doing all sorts of things like deleting what I've just written, skip between sentences and that type of thing.

This is driving me absolutely crazy.

Any idea how to turn the shorcut keys off?

Thanks

Actually this happens with me also - again I assumed that it was the touchpad, but since it never happened when I was running in Vista, it may well be the short-keys. Am as interested as the OP in any potential resolution!

Try either holding down shift for a few seconds or pressing it a few times in a row, possibly 5 times - think in then may prompt about sticky keys, which may be the same thing.

I always find installing the correct drivers for the touch pad fixes this. Rather than relying on the default XP/Vista/Windows7 drivers.

I don't think there are shortcut keys that do what was described....

brushing the touchpad by accident happens a lot with a new laptop, I find.

No, I don't think its anything to do with burshing the touchpad by accident.

AlbacoreA, its a Samsung N140.

paddyc, I tried that using the shift key and no joy.

I've no idea how to install the "correct" drivers, I just bought it with the default Windows 7 Starter and have been frustrated with it since then.
