This just in from RTE -

"Govt to take control of Anglo Irish Bank

The Government has announced plans to take complete control of Anglo Irish Bank, saying its previous plan to inject money into the bank is not the best way to secure its viability.

Check out credit crunch related issues. It has been nationalised and share trading suspended.
 
Agreed - this is a duplicate thread. I did search before posting, but somehow missed the first one. However there is some value in having this post in the banking forum also.
