Re: Myhome.ie interesting move

On a related matter, has there been any independent research regarding EA's ability to set AMV's since the concept was introduced?

I would like to see which estate agents have been best at setting AMV's

Since auctions have now just about disappeared I would imagine it's something of a moo point. It's like a cow's opinion. It just doesn't matter. It's moo.

No, no son, you're wrong there. It's mute. As in the swan.

I have seen houses for sale , which are not up for sale by auction, which have an AMV. They are listed on myhome as the asking price, but on the estate agents website, the same price is advetised as the AMV.
I thought they where different things, as in the AMV was the minimum that was acceptable to offer?

Re: Myhome.ie interesting move

Not sure what AMV stands for exactly (Advised Minimal Value) but it's just a new word for asking price and you can bid what you like, over or under it.

If you want to find out what an AMV is and how it works why not check out the sticky at the top of this forum explaining it?????

I don't see any sticky, I've looked up and down, is this a trick? Do you mean a sticky like a post it?
