If you want information on new requirements for entering America for holidays I was slightly amused to note that you now have to phone their premium rate number (think its €1.80 a min). Soon wiped the smile off my face.

My passport is machine readable so I'm fine. The Children have to get their own passports because we will be away after 27 Oct. Even our infant needs an individual three year passport with photo (non smiling).

Visa's well I have to establish. Some say you don't need it for a family holiday others say you do.

Not according to this infor on AL's website.

"Under the U.S. Visa Waiver Programme, passport holders from 27 countries, including Ireland, may enter the U.S. without a visa for travel or business purposes for a maximum period of 90 days."
