You will get ti back pretty much straight away as tax credits are given on each payroll basis. i.e. you will (depending on how much tax you pay normally) get 400 extra on next pay day or if you dont pay 400 in that period you will get the remainder in the next pay period. So im assuming it means we will get 400euro back at the end of the year

It seems that you claimed for the rent tax credit for 07 and 08 after these years.
And it seems that Reveune are now adding this tax credit to your 2009 tax credits, so that it will be reflected in your pay, rather than reclaim the tax after the year.
Does that seem correct?
The amended tax credit cert is sent to you AND to your employer. Read it, and you will see where this is mentioned.
You do not have to wait until the end of 2009 to get a €400 tax refund.
Each month your partner should be paying €33.33 less tax. (If they get paid weekly they should be paying €7.69 less tax) .
You will need to look at the "Year to Date" figures.
If the cumulative tax figure is zero then there will be nothing to refund regardless of the increased credits.
You can only be refunded tax which has been paid.
Does he get paid weeKly, per fornight or per month.
It seems like he got a refund of .63 cent for PAYE on 9th July payslip.
nothing on here says year to date figures(if im looking in the wrong place sorry i just dont understand any of this) No figures on the amended tax cert are zero anyway.
Says yearly tax credits are 4073 if that helps in any way

tHEN THE PAY CUT
jULY 9TH 2009

I meant on the pay-slip.
It should have "Year to Date" figures for Gross Pay
Tax Credits
Tax Deducted
Well he can get a refund of 27.43 and from now on pay no PAYE for rest of year (assuming his gross pay remains unchanged).
Better than being unemployed anyway.
Were his hours worked reduced also, is he on a 3 day week ?
partner got an extra 25 euro in his pay packet this week- must be kicking in
No in order to avoid a 3 day week they made everyone take a pay cut and stopped sick pay, and if there is any overtime available(if orders need to go out in a rush) they dont get paid for it. So basically forced unpaid overtime
