Amazon applying currency conversion

Hi, I'm wondering if others have come across this:
I'm looking at an item on Amazon.uk costing GBP 6.28
I add it to the basket and go to the checkout
The default payment method is Revolut and I have set the card currency to GBP
Once I select the payment method, the cost of the item increases to 6.48
Why is this happening if 1) the card currency is GBP 2) I do not wish to avail of the currency converter and use revolut to avoid bank charges paying GBP
Is it because my address is in Ireland so they assume I'll be paying EUR and therefore apply the exchange rate on the 6.28, converting the GBP to EUR, then charging the same amount in GBP?
Thanks for your input

Just checking that I've got this right. I'm trying to work out the "no-margin" euro cost of a £ amount on Amazon UK - per example below.

Amazon UK price £100
Assumed spot exchange rate: 0.87
£100/0.87 = €114.94
Expected "no FX margin" cost in Euro allowing for VAT adj: €114.94/1.2*1.23 = €117.82
