Am I entitled to a medical card ?

I am an unemployed single mother of 1 in receipt of Jobseekers benefit of €217.80. This is my main source of income.

I have rental income of €110 per week from a property purchased a few years ago.

My out goings would be my monthly mortgage repayments of aprox €500 per month and the rent that I'm paying for the house I am living in which i €600 per month.

Would I be entitled to a medical card ?

Depends on your households total income. Have a look through the FAQ's

the golden rule though is if you think you do then apply anyway and if you don't qualify for a medical card you may qualify for a GP visit card but then you have to pay for any prescriptions yourself.
