Alternative To Roof Lead?

Hi,
Just after getting a quote off a roofer and he said something about a cheaper alternative to lead for the roof.
He can't remember the name of it but said it comes in black, is light weight and just as good as lead.

Anyone out there heard or even better used this stuff?

Ya its a fibreglass alternative four times cheaper than lead i looked at it for my place! Capco roofing sell it, but as with any new technology people are wary of it and my carpenters did not waant to use it!

I thought that many roofers used zinc instead of lead nowadays (e.g. for flashing etc.)?

Not sure if http://www.polyroof.co.uk/ is the same/similar product. I have a flat roof which is fine for now, but would like something more permanent in the future..
