Is there an alternative form I can get from Revenue to give my new employer instead of the P45...one that gives less information on previous salary etc??

Thanks!

Just tell your new employer that you don't have your P45 and ask Revenue to issue a tax credit cert to your new employer.

The credit cert won't give it away that you lied at your interview about how much you were earning.

You could always present the P45 and say that your previous employer paid you additional (undeclared) bonus payments, but there again maybe not! They mightn't like that "accusation"

If you contact the revenue commissioners directly and give them your new employers company number, they will thne issue a certificate of taxation to your new employer which does not state any previous salary details etc.

This is a fairly common request to Revenue. Just send in the whole P45 to Revenue requesting the issue of a tax credit cert, and they will issue a Week 1 cert to your new employer without any salary details, etc. If you are owed any tax credits you can claim them back from Revenue at the end of the tax year

Telling your new employer that you are prepared to engage in criminal tax evasion may not be the best way to start off your career.
