Alternative to Kitchen Wall Tiles

Are you talking about using it in a similar situation to the picture where it appears to be getting support on the units? If not it would probably be too heavy both in weight and appearance for a larger area.
 
Looks beautiful - any idea what the practicalities are though? Is it going to mist up when cooking and need constant cleaning?
 
I have this in black glass instead of tiles in my kitchen. Got the glass company to come out and measure up as they had to take into account the sockets, cooker switch and extractor fan. Came in three pieces and was stuck to the wall. A black silicon was used as seal on between the counter top and the glass. Every body who see it remarks on how good it looks. From a maintenance point of view it is as simple and giving it a wipe with a glass cleaner.
 
saw it when I was living in Australia. Seems to be very popular over there. Not really a fan of kitchen wall tiles.
