Health Insurance Alternative Plan 1 adult & 1 child

Just hoping for a bit of advice. Circumstances have changed in last year and have now got medical card. Currently on company plan plus 1.3 for adult and child on parents and kids excess plan. Just wondering is there any cheaper plan we could use instead. Would like a plan that would have fertility on it as hope to be able to use it this year. Don’t need day to day for child. Any advice appreciated as just got renewal and it’s going up in price again this year. Based on Waterford so would want to be able to access Whitfield possibly.

The following 3 plans are worth considering at better prices. If the hi-tech hospitals Blackrock Clinic and Mater Private are not a priority, you can
reduce costs further but still including fertility cover. Details as follows;
1. Laya Signify plan; price 938pa; all public, private and Beacon hospital covered; private hospital inpatient excess is capped at 250 x 2 max per
year for all admissions. Day case excess 125 per procedure. Limited day to day cover re gp visits etc. Fertility cover included.

2. Laya Inspire plan; price 1165pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered; private hospital inpatient excess 150 per admission, day case
excess 50 per procedure. No excess to pay in any public hospital. Good day to day cover included, 1 euro excess, refunds of 50% for consultants,
gp visits, dental, optical etc. Fertility cover included.

3. VHI PMI 52 10; price 1193pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered; private hospital inpatient excess 150 per admission, day case
excess 75 per procedure. No excess to pay in any public hospital. Good day to day cover included, 1 euro excess, refund of 50% for consultants,
gp visits, dental, optical etc. Fertility cover included.

Child Options;
I would stay with VHI for your child, even if you choose a Laya plan. The following 3 options are worth considering, details as follows;

1. VHI One Plan 150; price 205pa; all public, private and Beacon hi-tech Dublin hospital covered; private inpatient excess capped at 150 x 2 max per year for all admissions, day case excess 150 per procedure. Limited day to day cover.

2. VHI One + Plan; price 235pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, private inpatient excess 125 per admission, day case excess
125 per procedure. Limited day to day cover.

3. VHI One Plan Extra; price 260pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered; no excess to pay on this plan. Limited day to day cover.
