Please can anyone help me to know what is the daily allowable employee subsistence expense.

My situation is I am the director employee of a private limited company. Currently I travel 10 miles to work at a clients place and work 8 - 10 hours a day.

Appreciate your reply.

Regards

I found this article on the Revenue website: leaflets - it54.html

Appendix I - Daily Allowance section describes that allowable subsistence is

>10 Hrs - 33.61
<10 Hrs - 13.71

But please can anyone tell me if I need to submit the proof/receipts for the allowable €13.71?

Thanks
K

You won't have any receipt as such. Your "proof" is your diary entry, backed up by the invoice you issue to your client, billing for 8 hours work on that day.

Unless requested you won't have to submit any documentation with your tax return.

Be very careful. Do you travel to the same place everyday? If so, tough, Revenue regard this as the place of business, not your registered office.
