allendale furniture - are they good for beds?

I see they have a sale on the next 3 days.

Can I get a good double divan with a good quality mattress there?

Are they good value (i dont mean just cheap) ?

They are not bad, bought one last year.

One issue that soured my opinion of them was:

They are COD, but driver did not carry change, so my Mother (83) overpaid by 5 euro. I went mad !!!

Thanks! Would they carry similar quality / brand range to e.g. Reids?

Would they be similar price or cheaper than Reids for same quality?

Anyone any other suggestions for getting good value on good quality divan beds?

(I am thinking of buying from Reids in Northern Ireland, cos of sterling weakness, even with delivery charge it will cost me 2k euro instead of 2.5k euro for a double divan and mattress, plus 2 single divans + mattresses. I have tried out the beds in a store in the republic.)

Just back from Allendale clearance sale. It was a bit chaotic. THought the mattresses were not great altogether. Own brand. [and the rest of the furniture did not look great either TBH].

And by the time you pay for a proper sprung divan and extra for drawers etc, it was as dear as Reids.

So we went to Castle Davitts nearby, in Castlebar as well, and got great service and advice, and branded stuff, for cheaper than reads by 20%, free delivery when we want them, and no headache. Job done.
