All Soft Plastics Now Allowed In The Recycling Bin

I noticed in the RTE news feed this morning that we are now allowed to put "all soft plastics" in the green recycling bin
The article make no distinction between recyclable and non recyclable so I'm presuming this means all soft plastic
Is this correct or are there soft plastics that are not allowed in the green bin??

Good point Steven, we put our Green bin out once every four weeks the odd time six because we've been going to Ballyogan recycling with the soft plastics, now with all plastics going in the bin it will be every two weeks and we're just a couple I'd guess a family of four would have a lot more green waste than us and will require a better more frequent service

Had to read that article a couple of times, green bins where I live are actually the blue bin with the brown bin being a green bin and then a black bin for everything else.

Joking aside, it's good news for everyone.

And that's the heart of the problem; there's too much plastic in the first place.

Recycling plastic is being presented as a solution, when in fact it's on the bottom rung of effective actions.

There was a thread about having a second green bin last year, thinking I might need one too. Anybody got updated info on the costs for a second bin green bin with various providers?

Edit: I contacted Greyhound

There is no weight limit or per-lift fee for green bins with Greyhound, so the only cost is once-off €25 to get an additional green bin.

I iknow for some it's not possible but I quite liked the stroll/drive up to the local recycling banks once a week. Storing dry plastics/waste is not messy in that sense.
