I am heading to Alicante later on in the year for some winter sun. I am just looking for some first hand recommendations for hotels to stay at in the city centre. If someone could also recommend a nearby town that might be worth visiting preferably using public transport. I have short listed a few hotels from the discount websites but would appreciate a final recommendation. Also is Benidorm worth a visit?
