Aldi 40 inch LCD TV

For those in the know what do you think of Aldi's 40 Inch LCD tv,it's a samsung but can't get the model number to compare if the specifications and price are worth making the splash....I currently have a 32 Inch 100 Hz CRT TV and would only be buying for better picture quality

It's not a Samsung-it has a Samsung panel and a LG tuner.

The actual model is a Tevion, like many of the electronics sold in Aldi.

There is bound to be some existing discussion on www.avforums.co.uk
 
I would have thought the price would be less given that, there was a massive over production of LCD tvs at the time of the World Cup!! They completely misread the market and were left with huge amounts in stock.
